Glen Deveron

More commonly known as the Macduff distillery, Glen Deveron is situated in the Highlands and produces an array of single malt whiskies. Founded in 1962, the distillery’s name has gone from Glen Deveron to Macduff and back again many times – but most of the official bottlings have been released under the Glen Deveron name.

During the 1970s, the distillery was acquired by William Lawson Distilleries Ltd, which then went on to become part of the Martini & Rossi corporation. Nowadays, John Dewar & Sons (linked with Bacardi) at the helm of the distillery. Glen Deveron is different from other malt whisky distilleries, because it has an odd number of stills – a feat matched only by distilleries like Talisker and Laphroaig.
